The security are the armed forces defending Terran vessels and maintaining order. While the profession has fallen into disrepute after the incident on the Gates, where they shot all the workers taking part in a strike, they were nevertheless also deployed to the Toronto, led by Colonel Priver. Despite their reputation, Tom knew some of them personally, having played cards with them for nights.
There are 23 security members in total that can be defeated on the Toronto ‒ 8 in an entrance section, and 15 in the reactor room, gathered by Priver, but they can be convinced to withdraw.
